Pastry products hold occupy a key position in the diet of Cameroonians and are subject to an ever increasing demand in quantity and quality. This demand is much higher than the current offer which, due to the lack of appropriate equipment, is struggling to meet the needs of consumers.
Tekno JAD Equipement, a Belgian company specialised in the supply of modern bakery materials and equipment will be present at Jeicom23 from 1st to 3rd June 2023 at the Yaounde Conference Centre.
With a turnover of 5 million euros, this company, which has a network of partners in 35 countries, is one of the European leaders in innovation and performance in the field of bakery and confectionery.
Councils of the Centre Region kicked off the national awareness campaign this Monday, April 24, 2023 in Yaounde.
During the meeting chaired by Augustin Tamba, the National President of UCCC, the mayors, who came in large numbers to this exchange session, showed a real interest in taking part in Jeicom23. They are thus responding to the call of the National President who invited them to seize the opportunity offered by Jeicom to boost the economic growth of the territories, through the implementation of value-added projects, which provide wealth and employment. A step all the more important he said that “this second edition which is the subject of a mobilization and an unprecedented enthusiasm on the part of international partners, is part of the realization of commitments made during the Jeicom21”.
The municipal magistrates of the Centre Region have taken the full measure of the event, and are actively preparing to participate. It is with this in mind that they have committed to holding meetings to better fine-tune their participation. To this end, they have requested the support of UCCC for the maturation and structuring of their projects. The objective is to present bankable projects to investors.
This initiative, which aims to better prepare and supervise the participation of Councils in the first market for the financing of municipal projects in Cameroon, will be deployed in all the Regions, under the coordination of the Regional Presidents, who are also present at these meetings.
The Special Councils Support Fund for Mutual Assistance will be present at the second edition of the Councils International Economic Forum. This will be an appropriate opportunity for the bank of councils to present to municipal authorities, local development stakeholders, investors and investment funds the innovative mechanisms and programmes that it develops for the benefit of local authorities. As a leading strategic partner of municipalities in Cameroon, Feicom is involved in the organisation of this event. An important meeting was held to this effect this Friday, April 14, 2023 at the head office of FEICOM with its General Manager. Appointment is therefore made for the Yaounde Conference Centre from 1st to 3rd June 2023.
Cameroon Customs has been performing exceptionally well for several years. It has largely exceeded its objectives over the last three years. That is 108.9% in 2020, 105.9% in 2021 and 103.9% in 2022.
In 2023, the General Directorate of Customs has set itself the challenge of mobilising CFAF 1004.7 billion. To achieve this, it has introduced a culture of results based on better use of data and indicators.
These performances were achieved thanks to the commitment of customs officers whose deployment in the field has allowed “numerous seizures of fraudulent, contraband and counterfeit goods, as well as goods that are dangerous to security. In addition to the fiscal aspect, customs also distinguished itself in terms of safety and security through its actions in the fight against trade and illegal trafficking of goods.
The Councils International Economic Forum, organised from 1st to 3rd June 2023 at the Yaounde Conference Centre, will be an opportunity for this institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance, to present its performance tools.
